SharePoint Developer - Intermediate/Senior Levels

SharePoint Developer Job Purpose:

The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for customizing and configuring enterprise collaboration sites utilizing SharePoint, .Net, and other software to support our commercial and government clients and their business requirements. The candidate will perform site administration responsibilities, provide portal, application and web development using Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Visual Studio, and SQL Server. The candidate will have specialized experience in the design, content management, and administration of enterprise collaboration sites utilizing MS Share Point 2010 content management.

The Senior SharePoint Developer will perform system development, administration, deployment and design support to create and modify workflow and collaboration tools to affect efficiencies across the client's Intranet and Extranet. Expertise surrounding the design of SharePoint farm including infrastructure, SharePoint governance practices, and SharePoint operations and administration is needed to successfully advise on the proper integration and implementation for these new tools within an existing SharePoint infrastructure. Additional duties may include VTC configuration and monitoring and other communications and IT duties and assignments.

SharePoint Developer Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Configuration of point-to-point and multi-point VTCs.
  • Maintain SharePoint 2010 applications.
  • Work closely with business and project managers in development environments.
  • Maintain existing code base for multiple systems.
  • Translate program specifications into new SharePoint Applications.
  • Maintain and/or upgrade existing Applications.
  • Program modifications and enhancements to existing Applications.
  • Proactively test and debug new and existing applications.
  • Build and maintain installation programs and software deployment systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
  • Write and maintain technical program design and specification documentation.
  • Provide recommendations on solutions and/or best practices in the governance, design and architecture of a SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science and 5+ years related experience.
  • Experience with major areas of SharePoint 2010 including but, not limited to: Business Data Catalog, Branding, Workflow Foundation, InfoPath, Security, Search, Content Management, Document Management, Business Intelligence, Business Processes, Office Integration, Forms, Custom Content Types, Portals and Collaboration.
  • General web development experience (e.g., HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, JQUERY, Flash, CSS).
  • Network administration experience (DHCP, ADUC, others).
  • Experience using SharePoint to integrate with existing applications and SQL Server databases.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate 3rd party plug-ins with SharePoint.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot SharePoint and integration issues.
  • Understanding of Unit Test, System test, and User Acceptance testing.
  • Able to work on a team or independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize business and technical solutions and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Self-starters that can take loosely defined assignments and drive them to structured work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
